Rogan & Co FAQs

All our reservations are available on a first come, first serve basis.

If the date you’re looking for is already fully booked, we recommend adding yourself to the waiting list. We will reach out to those on the waiting list if any tables become available.

All our guests are invited to choose three courses from a seasonal selection of dishes, all of which are served alongside snacks to start with, a pre-dessert and petit fours to end the meal.

Please note that we cannot cater for dietary requirements on the day. So, please specify any requirements when you book a table.

We can usually cater for most health or allergy-related dietary requirements with advance notice. Please advise us of any dietary requests when making a reservation so that our team has enough time to make the relevant preparations.

All guests are required to provide credit card details to secure their reservation. Cancellation of a restaurant reservation less than 48 hours before your visit will incur a charge of the full cost of the menu for lunch or dinner. Cancellation for any special events or for tables of seven people and over must be made seven days prior to the reservation date. After this point, the full cost of the menu will be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking.

Room Cancellation Policy
Guests are required to provide credit card details to secure the reservation. Cancellation of your reservation less than 14 days before your visit will incur a charge of the full rate of the package or accommodation and dinner if you are not on a package.

We respectfully advise our customers that in most cases we will no longer accept Covid-19 as a valid reason for cancelling.

Our menu prices are per person and include VAT. Prices are subject to change. There will be a discretionary service charge added to your bill. Any dietary requirements must be notified in advance.

We have 16 bedrooms and suites located around the village of Cartmel, each designed in its own unique style while retaining references to the historic surroundings.

To book a room or a package please book online or call the reservations line on 015935 35917. Room reservations automatically guarantee a table at Rogan & Co and breakfast with us the following morning. Stay for two nights with us and arrive on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, and enjoy a full tasting menu experience at L’Enclume and dinner from the à la carte menu at Rogan & Co.

Our Rooms are located in different areas of the village and are all a short walk to the restaurants. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out at 11am.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate dogs in our restaurant or rooms.

We welcome children of all ages at lunchtime and have prepared a simpler menu with versions of our dishes for them. However, at dinner, we can only accommodate children over the age of nine, and cannot offer an alternative menu.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a child's menu when we are running special events or menus.

Our Farm is set in the Cartmel Valley, only a mile or so from the village itself. By growing everything ourselves, we can better understand and control the ingredients we use. We aim to grow near-perfect produce naturally and sustainably.

Our growers and chefs work side-by-side to decide what is grown and when it’s harvested. Our farm is an extension of our kitchens, applying the same ethos, drive and attention to detail.

Our Farm tours are available on request from April to October. Please let us know when you book your table with us.

The nearest train stations are Grange-over-Sands or Oxenholme in The Lake District. Trains from London take around 3.5 hours and run several times a day from Euston Station. We recommend booking a taxi from the station to Cartmel in advance.

Rogan & Co does not have designated parking; however, there is parking at the Cartmel public car park on the edge of the village. Please follow the postal code LA11 6QB. Parking tickets are available to purchase from the parking metres in the car park.

The nearest airport is Manchester Airport. Trains from Manchester Airport take around 2 hours to Oxenholme or Grange-over-Sands.

There is no dress code at Rogan & Co. Diners are encouraged to wear whatever makes them feel the most comfortable.

We are incredibly proud to announce the Academy by Simon Rogan, a new culinary course in collaboration with Kendal College.
