Academy by Simon Rogan has won the ‘Best Education and Industry Partnership’ award at the Springboard Awards for Excellence 2024 for its collaboration and partnership with Kendal College.

Held on April 11th, the prestigious awards showcased the best individuals, companies and partnerships in the UK and Ireland’s hospitality scene, celebrating and recognising those that have gone above and beyond to grow their organisations, look after their people, and champion the industry.

Created in July 2021 as a response to the ongoing staffing issues faced in the hospitality sector, this is the second award for partnerships our academy has won. With a mission to reignite passion for the industry and provide weight for those who choose to work within it, our academy offers opportunities for learning and career development within the Simon Rogan group, as well as expert tuition from Kendal College.

In collaboration with Kendal College’s Hospitality and Catering team, the 15-month hands-on, immersive learning programme is designed to equip students with skills that will escalate their passion for food and drink. Working directly with the teams in Simon’s Lake District restaurants, the programme is further supplemented with practical and theory-based learning that takes students on a unique culinary journey.
