
All Aboard: Simon Rogan on the Eastern & Oriental Express
Simon is the first guest chef in the Taste of Tomorrow series aboard the Eastern & Oriental Express, A Belmond Train - departing 23rd March 2026.
Joining the train's culinary curator, Chef André Chiang, Simon will bring his farm-to-table philosophy on a three-night journey through the heart of Malaysia. The route glides from the buzzing food scene of Singapore, through lush jungle, and into the heart of Penang.
Throughout the journey, Simon will reimagine his signature terroir through a Southeast Asian lens, weaving together Cumbria’s pastoral landscape with the bold, vibrant flavours of Malaysia on menus co-created alongside chef André.
Guests will have the rare opportunity to dine on the combined creations of two acclaimed chefs as the train winds through some of Southeast Asia's most breathtaking scenery. The journey offers far more than exceptional food. Travellers will discover the shores of Langkawi, venture into the wilderness of Perlis Geopark, and explore the multicultural charm of UNESCO World Heritage-listed George Town, including an immersive cooking class rooted in the region's rich culinary traditions.
