Our Farm Sunday Series Regenerative Farming

Sunday Series 4: Regenerative Growing in Practice

This week in our Sunday series, Our Farm head grower Adam showcases how our regenerative farming techniques are delivering exceptional results across the farm.

We believe that working with nature creates the most resilient growing systems. Our regenerative approach focuses on building soil health through natural cycles, and the results this season demonstrate the power of these methods.

One of our most effective techniques involves rotational grazing with our chickens. We move the birds between different areas of the farm, allowing them to naturally fertilise and prepare the soil through their grazing patterns. This season, the areas where chickens were pastured last year are now producing some of our finest crops.

The transformation of the soil where our chicken paddock was previously is remarkable. Our brassicas thrived there, with fantastic hearts that formed on the crops. We also saw excellent results with our Red Russian kale variety, which flourished in that naturally enriched soil.

The success of these regenerative methods proves that by working in partnership with natural processes, we can produce exceptional quality vegetables while continuously improving soil health. Rather than depleting the land, our farming practices are building resilience and fertility season after season.
